Yesterday was an exciting day at the Kerboo HQ!
We soft launched the brand new version of our Kerboo.com marketing site. This launch reflects not just a change in CSS (and CMS) but a change in the company from the ground up. We are focused on Solutions rather than applications and our new marketing site (with new knowledgebase) and continued development represents that.
As we’ve already seen this year a much deeper integration with Investigate and Audit, we are taking that further with a UI workflow designed around those specific tasks as well as a complete redevelopment of the whole Kerboo platform to be refocused.
Speaking of the applications… Today we begin to phase out the individual applications and instead we look at Kerboo as a platform with solutions. Phase One for us is just a simple renaming (for instance Audit becomes Backlink Analysis, Monitor becomes Link Monitoring) but this represents the first shift in our platform towards a unified goal.

Farewell to Rankings
Before we get onto some of the new things we are announcing, Rankings today enters a 60 day deprecation window. As we announced previously, Google has been cracking down on rank checking at a significant rate and the resources we are spending makes it unviable to continue, even switching to weekly rank checks has caused us significant development time. In the end we have decided that Ranking was not the focus of our product and having a solution that is 100% reliant on a third party, which we have no control over, makes little business sense in the longer term.
For customers still wanting rankings, we are recommending Accuranker, but we do predict even more changes and limitations in the rankings space over the next twelve months.
And so we begin the next season
We recently moved to Seasons for our development, once Audit Refresh Season ended, we then had an internal season for some backend updates. Now, with the launch of Outreach & CRM, we introduce Outreach & CRM Introduction Season so expect a steady stream of new features and functionality launched regularly.
That is a lot of new stuff to take in, so please don’t hesitate to get in touch with your dedicated account manager if you had any questions or just wanted to talk through anything I mentioned above.
