An Investigate Update
Today we are excited to announce an update to Investigate that we’ve been working on for a while, there are three main features with this update.
Audit List Behaviour Change
From now on, when something is added to the investigate list within Audit, it is automatically added to Investigate, this helps our recommended workflow and means you can get to Investigating faster.
In the first version of Investigate, we just loaded up the website in an iFrame and disabled all scripts to protect your browser, this worked for many customers but to improve the speed and accuracy we wanted to download the page before and preload it in the background, allowing you to Investigate the pages even quicker.
One of the most requested features of Investigate, when you load a page in Investigate, we now highlight and jump to the link on the page. If the page tried to redirect you we now show a helpful message to show you where the redirection will go and if the link or page does not load we show a message to indicate that also.
Here is a quick video to show you those changes in action: –
We hope that this builds on the already excellent Investigate app and allows our users to audit sites and links at speeds not possible in any other software.
